Rambakan is an iloko word for Celebration. It IS used to describe the barrio fiestas held mosrtly during the harvest season across Cagayan Valley.

The Cagayan Valley Agriculture and Resources and Development (CVARRD) Consortium-one of the regional reseasrch, development extension(RDE) consortia based in Region 02, celebrated a different kind of fiesta, one that meld culture and science, and dubbed it as Rambakan sa Lambak: Celebrating the Bounties of Region 02.”

Held Last February 23-24 at Isabela State University in Echague, Isabela.

Through the Rambakan, CVARRD promoted banana, peanut, and goat technologies, and products, while adding the festive mood of typical barrio fiesta. the event gathered the stakeholders of the three commodities through integrated activities on market-matching, products promotion, and stakeholders forum to push for commercialization of Science and Technology products, such as chevon meat products, big-seeded confectionery peanuts, and tissue-cultures banana planting materials.
