In response to the call for quality Science Investigatory Projects (SIPs), DOST PSTC Isabela conducted Capacity Building on the Development of SIPs to DepEd Santiago City division schools, November 13-14, 2018.

Ms. Angel Gorospe and Ms. Clarenet Balderas of DOST PSTC Isabela discussed the Dos and Don’ts of Investigatory Project preparation. After the lectures, the participants underwent a workshop wherein they tried to prepare their own investigatory projects that address the problems they want to solve in their respective communities or schools. They also presented their outputs for critiquing of the speakers.

Rosario National High School, Rizal National High School, Divisoria High School, Cabulay High School, Sagana National High School, Santiago City National High School Main and Sinsayon Extension, Patul National High School, Salvador Integrated School, Sinili Integrated School, Northeastern College and elementary schools in Santiago City were the schools that participated in the workshop.

With this endeavor, DepEd Santiago City division hopes for more active participation of schools on Science Investigatory Projects and increased chances of qualifying to higher level competition on SIP.
