Pasay City, Manila – During the recently held National Science and Technology Week held at the World Trade Center, here, Agricomponent Machineries and Construction Corporation, one of DOST Isabela-assisted SMEs, bagged the the Best SETUP adoptor award for Region 2.

Of five contenders, one each province, Isabela SME bagged the award as the Best SETUP adoptor in Region 2.

AGRICOMP MACHINERIES AND CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION (AMCC) is the manufacturing and construction arm of its mother company AGRICOMPONENT CORPORATION. It was initially registered as Agri Comp Metal Works Corporation on March 1999 to manufacture tractor implements being sold by Agricomponent such as trailing disc harrows, moldboard plows, dozers, and dumping trailers. It was later registered on August 2012 to its current name at the Securities and Exchange Commission under SEC number 820000721 with its 1.7 ha. plant and office at Brgy. Tagaran, Cauayan City, Isabela. It has a satellite plant at General Santos City to cater to the Mindanao market. AMCC has designed and developed grain dryers for palay and corn and has sold more than 1000 units of various models from 6tons to 20 tons capacity. It has won several contracts with the Department of Agriculture to manufacture corn drying centers from village type models with capacities of 10 and 20tons capacity, to large models of 200 and 300 tons capacity. It has collaborative research projects with PhilMech that includes the development of biomass furnace for grain dryers, belt-type dryer for cassava granules, and most recently, a fluidized bed grain dryer for flash drying of palay. Its recently developed technology is the Mobile Recirculating Dryer which can be used as flash dryers or complete dryer using biomass or diesel burners. AMCC was awarded as 1st Runner-up (National Category) as Best SET-UP adaptor in 2016 and DOST Regional Winner 2017 as Best SET-UP adaptor. Its Research and Development Department continue to innovate new agricultural machinery based on customer specifications and requirements.
