In this modern age where science and technology is but a boring topic to students, DOST in collaboration with LGU Cauayan and ISU organized an event that brought science and the arts to a beautiful clash.
Beauty pageants can help influence not only the young minds but also other beauty pageant enthusiasts. If such beauty competitions are combined with an S&T campaign, and children and teeners—the future inheritors and stewards of the Earth—are directly engaged, then the world of tomorrow can be a much better place.
This was the message the organizers of Ginoo at Binibining Agham at Teknolohiya 2017 laid out that aimed to promote S&T awareness and foster sustainable change.
The pageant, with the slogan “Science for the People” was participated by different secondary schools in the region. The pageant screening included contestants competing in six (6) categories: Best in Innovative Attire, Best in Talent, Mr. and Ms. Photogenic, Filipiniana Gown (Female), Barong (Male), Mr. & Miss People’s Choice, and the question-and-answer portion.

Winner for the Ginoong Agham at Teknolohiya 2017 is from Doña Aurora National High School, Mr. Lance Angelo T. Rovillos. For the Binibining Agham at Teknolohiya 2017, the winner is from Cauayan City National High School, Ms. Cielo Rose Lim. 1st runner up for the Ginoong Agham at Teknolohiya is from Regional Science High School and 2nd runner up is from Nueva Vizcaya General Comprehensive High School. For the Binibini,1st runner up is from Nueva Vizcaya General Comprehensive High School and 2nd runner up is from Isabela National High School.
Pageant winners received cash prizes and tokens from sponsors. Several special awards include Ginoo at Binibining Davis & G Blackseed Anti-Aging Soap. (Angel Gorospe, DOST PSTC Isabela)
